Budi Waseso rectified his earlier statement that he had received instruction from President Joko Widodo to examine Chairman of Judicial Commission (KY) Suparman Marzuki and Head of Judge Recruitment at KY Taufiqurrohman Syahuri. He said there was no presidential instruction to investigate the two commissioners from the judicial monitoringinstitution.

Two activists from the Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW), Adnan Topan Husodo and Emerson Yuntho, requested police investigators to suspend examination until the Press Council conclude their ethical deliberation, since the case was based on news coverage in the media.

Former Chairman of Commission VII at the House of Representatives (DPR), Sutan Bhatoegana, was charged with 11 years imprisonment and a fine of Rp 500 million, or six months additional jail time. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) also asked the Corruption Court to revoke his political rights to vote and be elected to public office for three years. Sutan consider the charges to be based on KPK's ire.

The first pretrial hearing filed by former President Director of State Electricity (PLN) Dahlan Iskan against Jakarta office of the Attorney General took place at South Jakarta District Court. According to his lawyer, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, the naming of Dahlan as a suspect in an alleged corruption of 21 electric relay stations in Java, Bali and Nusa Tenggara violated legal procedures.
