Former Minister of Religion Suryadharma Ali said he was shocked when Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) named him as suspect in alleged corruption of hajj pilgrimage funds. And even more when KPK mentioned the state loss from his acts amounted to Rp 1.8 trillion.
