Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) revealed two candidates for commissioner of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) have close ties with political parties. Both candidates are strongly endorsed by party members to secure appointment as KPK commissioners.

The House of Representatives (DPR) have not received the President's official letter to request fit and proper test for the candidates in DPR. In the meantime, factions in DPR have begun inquiries into the track records of the eight KPK commissioner candidates and initiated political lobbying.
