After another case of intimidation, this time against KPK investigator Afief Yulian Miftach, KPK decide to renew a policy to equip their investigators with firearms. Heretofore, although firearms are listed as an official article for their work, KPK staff were not in the habit of carrying weapons.

KPK arrested Regent of Empat Lawang, Budi Antoni Aljufri, and his wife Suzanna on Monday (6/7). The pair were arrested on alleged bribery for former Chairman of the Constitutional Court (MK) Akil Mochtar to influence verdict on their electoral appeal and an account of false testimony at the Corruption Court.

Attorney General's Office (AGO) is investigating indications of corruption in the procurement of a sports science facility at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) worth IDR 76,2 billion. AGO has named two suspects, Rino Lade (Director of PT Artha Putra Arjuna) and Brahmantory (former Deputy Assistant of Infrastructure Development at Kemenpora), in their investigation.

Morotai Regent Rusli Sibua neglected his summons from KPK investigators yo be questioned as a suspect. Rusli argued that he refuses to attend KPK questioning aeguing he had already filed a pre-trial notion at the South Jakarta District Court.
