The alleged corruption cases related to the construction of 21 (main power station) in Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara with the suspect's former President Director of Electricity State Own Enterprise, Dahlan Iskan, still being investigated by prosecutor. Some observers asked prosecutor to focus in searching additional evidences since previous similar cases which end up with acquittal verdict due lacking of witnesses and evidences.

Novel Baswedan worries with the pre-trial process he files against National Police Office over his arrest and detention. His concerns is based on four proposed witnesses from National Police Office have started offending the subject matter of the case, which it is feared will obscure the substance of his pre-trial.
