Police Chief Badrodin Haiti's statement that his institution would propose two high-ranking officer and a retired policeman as candidates for KPK leadership, was opposed by various parties. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) members urges anyone with a strong desire to prevent and combat corruption, including the police, to come forward as individuals and without the promotion by their original institution.

Following the revelation that the Hambalang case had been handed over to the Attorney General in February, observers express concern that this would end up like the case of Budi Gunawan. The case allegedly involves a PDIP politician, Olly Dondokambey. Observers are concerned and have called on the AGO to properly handle this case and pursuing its primary suspects, irrespective of their political affiliation
 
"KPK to Watch Over Village Funds"

KPK considers the village fund allocation of up to 20,7 trillion rupiah for 74 villages to be highly susceptible to corruption. This is because the system is not sufficiently transparent. Johan Budi of KPK explained that 90% of funds is determined based on the number of rural villages, while the other 10% is calculated based on population, poverty, regional size and geographic complexity.
 
"Investigation of Driving Simulator Case Accelerated"

KPK continues to investigate alleged corruption of driving simulator case at the Police Traffic Corps in 2011. Two suspect were already sentenced and incarcerated, Djoko Susilo and Didik Purnomo. Another two who have not been sentenced and are still under investigation are Sukotjo Sastronegoro Bambang and Budi Susanto (President Director of PT Citra Mandiri Metalindo Eternal).

Budget Watch Coalition, a group of 12 NGOs including ICW, strongly reject the proposed aspiration fund for parliamentarians. The coalition gave 12 reasons of their position, including a potential for more development gaps, opportunity for nefarious budget brokers, disruption of DPR core functions, disruption of budget mechanism and overlap with other budgets, potential misuse or corruption, contradiction with UU No. 17 of 2003 on state finances, legislators do not have rights to budget allocation, potential bias of supervisory functions, wasteful spending, obscure mechanism in gathering public aspirations, further burden to national budget, and potential misuse as a patronage political machine for parliamentarians.
