“New suspect in TVRI graft case”

Attorney General announced that a new suspect has been named in the case of alleged corruption in the procurement process for the TVRI in 2012 with a project value of Rp 47.8 billion. In this case, comedian Mandra Naih is already a suspect . The naming of the new suspect is based on the continued investigation since March.
“Judge Haswandi makes paradoxical ruling: KPK”

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) commissioner Indriyanto Seno Adji lambasted judge Haswandi for issuing a ruling that contradicted his own earlier decisions on two major graft cases handled by the KPK.

KPK commissioner Zulkarnain states that there is a need for regulations that could set limits for judges who make decisions at pretrial hearings. The limits would eliminate the different and multiple interpretations on each different verdict.
“KPK ‘less professional’ on public”

Democratic Party politician, Didik Mukrianto, who is also a member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, commented that the defeat of KPK for the third time should be an introspection/correction for the Commission. He stated that the Commission should be more careful making decisions and naming suspects that have allegedly caused state financial loss. KPK’s defeat for the third time might give the public the perception that KPK is careless.
