The government proposed to incorporate corruption offenses within the new Draft of Criminal Code (KUHP). Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) guarantee that this incorporation will not interfere with the existence of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in apprehending corruption perpetrators, because KPK and the Law of Corruption Crimes will continue to retain the lex specialis status.
